Accommodation!

IHS offers accommodation for participants in nearby working place. We have several kind of
accommodations: Hostel, Hotel, Apartment, Condominium and House.

Condition and cost of housing in each location is not the same. Participants are responsible for
actual cost of housing which is divided by numbers of people in the unit.

IHS will not over charge students for housing at any cost.

For example; if there’re 3 people stay in a $1,200 apartment, the rent will be divided by 3 ($400
per person) Plus utilities.

The rent and utilities shall be paid to certain landlord by IHS in which we deduct the exact rent
amount from students earning.

Most of the locations, housing cost may range from $300 to $400 person/month plus utilities.

For Waikiki location; there are 2 main options for participants;

1. Hostel

Hostel costs $15 person/night. This option, participants are not obligated for the 3 months
lease term. In each unit, there are 2 bedrooms with 4 bunk beds, full kitchens, cable TV,
telephones (free local calling), electronic door locks for added security, a private bathroom,
lanai/balcony, and air conditioning in select dorms. The maximum staying per room is 8 people.

2. Apartment

There are studio and two-bedroom apartment for this option.  

  • For studio, the maximum staying is 4 people sharing 2 bunk beds.

  • For two-bedroom apartment, the maximum staying is 3 people in each bedroom
(6 people/unit).

All apartments are furnished with full size fridge, stove, oven, sink, microwave, mattresses,
phone, Wi-Fi and etc.

Participants who stay in Waikiki apartment and all other housings are obligated to sign a
minimum 3 months lease term with IHS.

Job placement will be assigned after IHS orientation.

Only participants assigned to work in Waikiki can request to stay in either Hostel or Apartment
based on availability.

In addition, it's considered illegal if people in each unit are more than the number specified
above.

There are some basic rules that must be followed:
  • No loud noise between 10pm to 8am for any reason.
  • If there is any emergency concern about the unit such as leaking, flooding, fire and etc.
    Participants must call emergency contact number of the property immediately. Failure to
    do so, participants will be responsible for all damages. But if participants report to
    landlord immediately, there shall be no charge.
  • Participants will be responsible for any damage in the premises during their stay for all
    that causes by themselves.
  • Participants need to understand that IHS is not a vacation agency and cannot be
    responsible for any improvements of lifestyle such as TV sets, stereos, phones,
    computers, expensive furniture and etc.
  • IHS will provide all house rules in each housing unit. Participants are required to study
    them thoroughly in order to follow the house rules accurately.
  • Any emergency concern, participants can contact IHS directly 24/7.

Twin size bed for each person or full/queen/king for
2 people, lamp, phone and etc Internet Wi-Fi is
available in most location. IHS will help to set up
on tenant expenses.

Utilities
The utilities are already included in monthly rent.
Tenants pay utilities separately from the rent in
actual charges on utilities bill divided by number of
tenants in each unit. The utilities include but not
limited to water, gas, electricity and garbage
removal. IHS shall pay on tenant’s behalf of these
charges and will deduct from the following earning.
